About me
I am an approachable outgoing person who has a passion for developing my skill and knowledge in technical theatre. I have always enjoyed technical aspects of productions. At school this saw me undertake a double award in performing arts, being responsible for plotting and running the lighting for productions. My profession is currently as an IT technician, however alongside this I currently volunteer at the Royal Manor Theatre on Portland. Working in such a unique venue allows me to see productions through from start to finish, giving me a complete overview of the lighting and sound requirements and operations for each show.
I have also been fortunate to experience the technical aspects of productions in larger venues such as the Weymouth Pavilion and most recently I had the opportunity to observe the technical departments when I carried out a short placement at The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time at The Gielgud in the West End.
My voluntary commitments show my desire and commitment to pursue this line of work and I would appreciate any opportunities to develop and progress in the industry. In appointing me, you'll get somebody who is honest, reliable, with a passion for theatre and learning who carries out their job to the very best of their ability.
