Archery is my sport shooting both recurve and longbow..recently shooting for the county in target. Shooting at the 'marks' and clout for pleasure.
I have also played Tennis for many years.
A little riding/dog handling/.22 shooting ( during Women's Royal Army Corps service in the 60's)
If housework may be regarded as a skill then yes, I have many years of practice!

To Whom it May Concern


This is to introduce Angela Plater, with whom I had the pleasure of working on my 2012 production of HYSTERIA.

Coming into the Arts relatively late in life, and making her theatrical debut with us, Angela quickly proved herself to be a valuable, committed, and very positive member of the company. Above and beyond her central, bold (gloriously naked) appearance as one of the figments of Freud's imagination, she also covered the part of Anna Freud for us, auditioning, winning and performing two short dialogue scenes opposite Sir Anthony Sher. Both myself and Sir Antony were fully confident in her ability to perform the part.

She is, in short, that curious creature; a mature woman with abundant energy and a surprising talent who is new to acting, but who can act. Her delivery is simple, and true.
She is, of course, very willing to undertake the smallest of parts, including walk-on, covering, ensemble, in order to get her late career underway.

I urge you to meet and/or consider her for anything you might think she's right for. I would work with her again without hesitation. She deserves a few opportunities, will steadfastly grasp them, and I for one wish her the best of fortune.

I am married, my husband and I have two sons Adam and Guy. I have over the years taken up many challenges. Not all of them ending successfully but none that I regret taking up as all have contributed to creating who I am today. My first major challenge was leaving home to join the army in order to avoid a moment longer in a very dark, victorian household. One failed marriage and a happy one lasting 40 years. My 25 years in social care was the most challenging/rewarding of all, including recovering from the stress of it all on retirement. Singing in a barbershop chorus since 1996 was a great stress reliever. Putting on weight did not aid acceptance of the ageing process but losing weight did! In February 2011 I began the diet that was to lead to my exploring life modelling (suggestion of son, Guy) which led to discovering that I could act which brings me to this site now, looking for more to experience and learn. I have to be quick about it too at 67!
