About me
I have spent much of my adult life performing principal roles in theatre productions, i.e. plays, musicals, G&S operettas, pantomimes, variety shows and concerts. Leading roles include Henry Higgins in 'My Fair Lady,' King of Siam in 'The King and I,' Mack Sennett in 'Mack and Mabel,' all the G&S patter roles and the traditional pantomime Dame. Most recent roles include King Arthur in Monty Python's 'Spamalot,' Geoffrey in 'Stepping Out,' Monsignor O'Hara in 'Sister Act,' Rab Henshaw in 'Sunshine on Leith,’ Harold Wilson in 'Made in Dagenham,' Lloyd Dallas in ‘Noises Off,’ Dan in ‘Private Fears In Public Places’ and Fagin in ‘Oliver!’ I was an opening ceremonies cast performer for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.Additional skills:
Previously, I worked as a member of the Pastoral Staff with the National Youth Music Theatre from 2001 until 2003 and lent my support to the formation of Youth Music Theatre: UK. I have been Artistic Director with Tread the Boards Youth Music Theatre since 2002 and I have directed many theatre productions. Vocal training at North East of Scotland Music School, Aberdeen.
Additional information:
Totally committed to the craft of theatre, I'm always striving to improve as an actor. I regularly attend theatres courses, masterclasses, workshops and acting classes in an attempt to hone my craft. My style as an actor is always evolving and the more I learn the more I develop. I’m also a freelance voiceover artist. I've always been interested in film and TV performance and after appearing as an extra in the award-winning short film 'Dropping Off Michael' (2014) for Jumpcut Productions, directed by Zam Salim. Over the past three years, I have appeared as a supporting artist in numerous TV dramas, comedies, films and commercials.
