About me
I am a freelance artist from Liverpool. My talents range from acting and singing to writing, facilitating, Producing and Community drama. I was always academic at school and perused performing arts in my spare time. I Joined a youth theatre and graduated from that to a young actors company and eventually this lead to paid work within sessions and then paid touring and theatre projects. From the age of 18 I realised that I wanted to work in the creative field. I was at university studying social science and got a job working with a company ‘Theatre In Probabtions And Prisons’. The role was freelance arts practitioner on a summer arts course where the Ex offenders Could gain an arts award qualification. From this I went into freelance work. Over 8 year I have secured multiple paid roles within theatre, film and community projects. Working with well known reputable organisations within my region. I have an authentic and unique style of work. I am a natural performer and have just Co wrote and co produced my first Piece of interactive theatre which I also stared in. I’m currently representing myself and I’m keen to do some more film and tv work. Whilst writing my own screenplays and work.Acting experience:
‘Knockin on’ Co produced and stared in.
‘She’s leaving home’ (this piece was part of an international festival called ‘sgt pepper at 50’ Marking the 50 year anniversary of the Beatles album Sgt Peppers Album.
‘I told my mum I was going on a re trip’ (this piece was originally a theatre production which I worked alongside the writer and director Julia Samuels to create. After it’s successful stage tour it was adapted for BBC Performance Live. I Was Involved In The Process From Start To Finish And Both ‘Paige’ And ‘Cousin’ Are developed from my interviews and input. I was on the post show panel of the theatre tour)
‘Dates’ Actor
‘Home’ Actor
‘Tales from the Mp3’ Actor
‘Rain’ Lead Role (This piece of theatre was part of an international theatre festival called ‘Contacting the world’ I was lucky enough to travel to Iran as part of the festival. From the cultural exchange we then went on to write and devise the show with co artist directors Julia Samuels and Kieth Saha.
