About me
Screen and theatre-trained in London, English and Cantonese-speaking actress Carmen has played roles ranging from the sweet girl-next-door to the psychotic. She has won several best actress awards and nominations internationally for her role in multi-award winning film, Monkey Enters Lanka. Having trained in screen combat, Carmen also fights in action productions. Performing her own fights, she took the lead role in an episode of American TV series, Ancient Assassins, which aired internationally. Her other action credits include feature films, music videos and live stage performances in Asia.Carmen is also a trained dancer, her favourite style being bellydancing. You may recognise her in many dance productions, such as in Claptone’s music video. As a model, Carmen has done modelling campaigns, both on screen and print work.
When not performing, Carmen is a gifted screenwriter and currently has a feature film and TV series in development. She is also a chartered senior healthcare professional, with a background as an oncall respiratory clinician in ICU for medical emergencies. Carmen still works as a musculoskeletal specialist and acupuncturist in private practice.
