Recent Projects:
- “Waking The Witch” - Lisa Lapidge, brad high & Fur Coat No Knickers Theatre, 2022
Waking the witch addresses contemporary violence against women, evoking the witch trials of Early Modern England. It uses principles of shape-shifting, time walking, and saturated resonance in its invocations and incantations. This vocal ensemble was devised for and performed twice at East 15, Southend-On-Sea, and at Royal and Derngate’s Gen Fest on Halloween night.
- “Sour Cherries - A Short Film” - In residence at the Au Brana Centre ABCD, Fur Coat No Knickers Theatre, 2022
Sour Cherries is an exploration of virginity – as a social construct, a set of rules, and an insult. Investigating its regular comparison to all that blooms and ripens and calling attention to pressures people face regarding their virginity and sexual experience. This film was made over a 2 week period at the Au Brana Centre as part of the ABCD Residency 2022.
- “Homecoming” - Short film, Written and Directed by Isla Ley - Due for release next year
Homecoming is a heartfelt drama about the troubles of insecurity and fitting in at university. Lucy returns home from a disappointing first term at a London university and feels despondent at what is supposed to be 'the best years of her life.'
