About me
I am an international recording artist currently recording with Al MacKenzie (Motown MD to the Temptations, Martha Reeves and Jean Khan) under his Artist Company: AMAC Records (www.amacrecords.com). I am also singer/songwriter/artist developer and Artist manager and vocal trainer. I have taught a number of mainstream artists: Miss Dynamite, Alesha Dixon, Mistique, Keisha White, Nayla Boss, first vocal coach to Shane Ward after winning the X-Factor. I wrote my first album project back in 2002 and it won the BBC GEM Award in 2003. Album Title: Don't Blame It On the Past. Artist Name: Charmain. I am currently recording my second album. I also taught vocal worship at Morley College and the Midi Music Institute and also at Cape Coast University in Ghana whilst on tour out there following the release of my first album. I am also part of the Shaking Stevens Band as a vocal arranger and backing vocalist (The Shakettes) and have been with them since the end of 2009. I have recorded with and toured with George Michael (cover to cover tour 1990 and 1991 and sang in concert for him for NetApp in 2000. I've toured with Temptations and the Four Tops and Chris Clark in 2005. Sessioned with Lamar for CO UK, Top of the Pops and Fame Academy. Sessioned with and recorded for Westlife for TV, Pop Beach and CDUK and Will Young (for his Grace track). I also direct a 24 piece industry level music outfit called Giant Ensemble made up of singers, dancers, choreographer .and musicians.and also a functions band that play for my set called Musical Insight. I am manager to Time 2 Shine 2012 winner Gospel Artist Boma Diri (www.bomadiri.com) and Chimaine Sampson (www.chimainesampson.com). I sang in the London Community Gospel Choir for 10 years and directed my own choir collaborating with Dame Susan Digby of the Voices Foundation (judge for Last Choir Standing). I was MD for the Heather Small set for I TV production Queen Mania and also MD for choir set in BBC TV series "Rumble". I was the vocal coach for West end musical Daddy Cool. I was part of the cast for Thriller Live. I toured my album in the US: Huntsville, Tampa, Adventure Island, and Orlando.back in 2004. Taught vocal workshop at Starlight Music Academy.Additional skills:
