Imogen in NOBODY'S BUSINESS, a new comedy by award winning playwright Sylvia Freeman directed by John Adams (King's Head) and Madame de Libertat in BLACK SPARTACUS directed by Joe Charles (The Courtyard). Claire also went to Istanbul playing a quintessential English lady in a commercial for Turkcell cast by Tree Petts (Depot Films), filmed an ident for Ancestry.com, a viral for IHG and played an older new mum in WOMEN & BABIES directed by Mitch Green-Muid (Tailormade Films)
Francis Durbridge thriller FATAL ENCOUNTER at Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage playing Grace Kingsley a businesswoman in the publishing world and Goneril in Phil Willmott's acclaimed production of LEAR (Union) from this she was invited by producer Susanna Rosenthal to play Frika the Goddess of Marriage & Ensemble in an adaptation of Wagner's THE RING CYCLE open-air at the Scoop on the Southbank. With multi-role playing, physical theatre and puppetry this production received a nomination for best ensemble for the OFF WEST END THEATRE AWARDS.
No. 1 Touring includes understudying all the female roles in Charley's Aunt (Bath Theatre Royal tour directed by Mel Smith), us all female roles in The Haunted Hotel (Ivan Hale Productions), playing Ladybird in “James and the Giant Peach” and Witch One in “The Witches” (Birmingham Stage)
International Touring includes Jacqueline in '“Don't Dress for Dinner” (Dubai) and the title role in George Bernard Shaw's “Candida” (Norway)
Other stage credits include Lady Macbeth in “Macbeth” (Broadway Theatre, Catford), Miss Minchin in “A Little Princess” (Yvonne Arnaud), Miss Gibson in “Daisy Pulls it Off”, Ruth in Blithe Spirit, Mary in Ray Cooney's farce “Caught in the Net” (all open-air at Hever Festival Theatre), Helena in “A Midsummer Night's Dream” (Bedford Theatre Company, open-air), Laura in “The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband” (directed by John Forgeham for London Rep), Claire has also performed in Panto as Dandini in “Cinderella” (for John Spillers at Fareham) and as an ex- Miss UK in the new musical comedy “Everyone Loves Me” (Canal Cafe & Edinburgh – winner of 'BEST MUSICAL Fringe Report Awards)
For Radio Claire was directed by John Antrobus (Steptoe & Son) playing the Empress Drusilla in “Not Tonight Caligula” the play he originally wrote with Ray Galton for Frankie Howerd, recorded live by Wireless Theatre Company at the Leicester Square Theatre.
She played Madame de Libertat in the 4 part radio drama “Black Spartacus” directed by Joseph Charles (RSC). Claire was also a regular co-presenter with Henry Kelly on “Clubhouse”, an audio magazine for blind golfers recorded at Radio 5-Live
Film work includes: Alcoholic hippie Angie in “Goldfish” with Robert Cavanah (MET Film), Margaret in “Caregiver” (Star Cinema – film won in STAR AWARDS and GOLDEN SCREEN AWARDS and was nominated for FAMAS awards), “Capturing Mary” (Stephen Poliakoff), “Vera Drake” (Mike Leigh), “Spymaker” (Ferdinand Fairfax)
