About me

For the past 2 years I have been a reliable, hard working and flexible film extra, actor and (to my surprise at the age of 58) a classic model. Having participated in amateur dramatics all my life and having been an accomplished public speaker and trainer during my career in the National Probation Service, I decided to quit my full time career early to have the availability to work as an extra, actor and model.
Despite the restrictions of Covid I have gained experience working as a film extra including Masters of the Air (Spielberg and Hanks), You (Netflix), Loki 2 (Disney) and many roles, including some voice over work on Vindication Swim (Elliot Hasler).
I can quickly create and portray different characters and last year, I successfully auditioned for paid acting work with Goodwood Actors' Guild who supply actors to improvise with the crowds at their events.
I have participated in high quality amateur dramatics throughout my life and have enjoyed leading and supporting dramatic and comedy roles. Although I am physically fit and in excellent health, I have often been cast as ill or dying women (e.g. Touvel in Dangerous Liasion and Shelby in Steel Magnolias). So I very much enjoyed playing the fighting fit but, tipsy when removing her clothes, Ruth, in Calendar Girls and most recently the female creature in Frankenstein which included dance.
I have undertaken some modelling work (I am signed with Needham’s Models, Fresh and Artimis Models) and found my acting experience enabled me to portray characters and moods , follow direction easily and that I am as relaxed in front of cameras as I am in front of live audiences.
I have applied the values of reliability, hard work and quick learning from my corporate career into my performing life. My film extra work to date included pre-dawn starts on rainy beaches, freezing airfields and very hot outside scenes but I am always punctual, energised and focused.
I have enjoyed all the work I have undertaken in these past two years (see above credits). I found I had many transferable speaking and acting skills, a strong work ethic, a pleasant personality and a track record of treating everyone with respect and courtesy. I learn quickly, reflect on my own performance and can be relied upon to complete all work to a high standard. Having once driven an old car across the Sahara, I am personally resilient, resourceful and remain calm and focussed under pressure.
I am a regular runner and boot camp particpant and take classes in ballet and yoga. I am skilled at neither but have a fit strong body , cna follow basic choreograpghy and move well.
I am DBS cleared, triple vaccinated against COVID and have homes in London and Brighton making travel across the UK very easy for me. I have a full clean driving licence.
