About me
I am an engaged, thoughtful and proactive individual, and have an undergraduate degree in BA (Hons) Drama & Contemporary Performance from the Manchester School of Theatre (MMU). I have dedicated my life to the arts as an actor and in recent years as a Director. In over 10 years in the industry, I've played minor roles such as Titorrelli in Franz Kafka's The Trial - to complex characters such as Shakespeare's Macbeth, a variety of Jim Cartwright's collections and other prominent figures. I am fascinated with the work of Antonin Artaud and the Strasberg Method, a strong influence to my directorial style.I possess a varied, and detailed understanding of drama and theatre history. With my experience of stage performance, I'm able to support actors in a more individualised and nuanced manner - I am focused on the commitment of actors and their ability to embody and portray emotion and feeling.
I am represented by Joanne Saunders of Majestic Models and Casting International. I currently head up the 'Outreach & Engagement' department at 53two Theatre in Manchester, work for Burnley Youth Theatre and freelance with the Oldham Coliesum and other art organisations across the North West.
