About me
Darcey has acted professionally in theatre, feature films, TV, radio drama, short films and commercials. She no longer requires licencing.Darcey has been a member of the National Youth Theatre Company of Great Britain (www.nyt.org.uk) since she turned 14 and is now a trained National Youth Theatre ambassador. She also trains weekly with GSA Young Conservatoire. and has recently attended the Summer 2021 programme for 16-17 years old at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Darcey is an extremely focused, intelligent actor and takes direction extremely well. Darcey also has a great ear for accents (with faultless standard American and Southern American (Georgian) and can pick up voices and mimic mannerisms very easily.
She is also super polite, very well-behaved and has an emotional maturity far beyond her years. She is simply never happier than when she is acting. Darcey is homeschooled (she was a drama scholar at her last school).
Darcey is 16 years old but has an extremely adaptable look. She can easily pass for 14-15.
Additional skills:
Dance (ballet, tap, modern at Grade 3), Currently also learning ballroom and Latin American dance.
Hapkido - Korean Martial Arts training and self-defence training.
Singing. Has had classes with Professional Opera singer Neil Latchman.
Additional information:
Darcey had professional tuition with Kevin McCurdy on stage fighting for her part in LOVE at the National Theatre and Birmingham REP.
In preparation for her role at the NT, Darcey also had training with the NT in vocal projection and Alexander technique.
She has had professional tuition in both standard US and Southern US accents.
