About me
I am a trained singer, dancer, actress and teacher in all 3 disciplines. My training constitutes of the BRIT PA & Tech School, Selhurst studying dance, performing arts and technical theatre; The Musical Theatre diploma course with Arts Educational, Chiswick; and the University of Westminster, London for my Cert Ed in teaching.A short overview of the Quals I hold for teaching; Certificate in Education for the Long Life Learning Sector (PCE); LLAMDA Gold in acting; ALCM for musical theatre singing with the London College of Music. Exam coordinator and examiner for James Robey Jazz Syllabus.
My previous work has been diverse; From Modeling to Theatre, theme parks to dance capt. on Shakespearean rep work and commercial/contemporary choreography. I am extremely passionate about all aspects of the performing arts and teaching; using current and experience driven techniques from an industry based perspective.
Additional skills:
Basic award for armed & unarmed combat with sword and daggar. I have held an Equity membership since the age of 18.
Additional information:
For the past 9 years I have continued to grow within my craft by working on Western Performing Arts projects with Musical Dreams in India and assisting on the restructure of the jazz department for Centre Stage in Singapore; doing film extra work and teaching at a college in Isleworth delivering BTEC Level 1, 2 and 3 units for performing arts and dance and BTEC HND Level 4 and 5 units for performing arts and dance. The ethos of the college is diversity and differentiation so I feel these environments has kept me current with changes in the dance and music world which has given we more of an appreciation to the commercial side of the industry.
