About me
I'm a fun and energetic person with a resilient attitude. I'm hard working and an optimistic person when it comes to big projects with little time. I do have a very diverse taste in film and television. I am a massive animal lover and vegetarian. I am very family and friends orientated and I like to make people laugh. My love for local talent within the North East region grows every day which is why I feel so passionately about being apart of this field. I am fluent in Spanish and spend my spare time growing my knowledge of languages, thus working on German and Italian at the moment. I would love to use my love for theatre and performance to be apart of incredible projects which tell emotional stories with a political background which in turn strives to change the world. I love to travel and experience new cultures around the world. I have just recently got back from a volunteering opportunity within the South of Spain where I worked on a farm, helping with gardening and animal care. Furthermore, I’ve spent my spare time working on a small independent charity with a few of my friends to help combat period poverty and make a difference within my local community.Additional skills:
I was a youth actor in The Customs House from the years 2011 to 2018. I love to paint and do anything artistic and creative. I have currently acted in many theatre shows within my youth theatre group in The Customs House including improvised pieces like This is Jay, 12 and The Halloween Spectacular. But I have also done a lot of scripted work too like Their Very Souls and The Sisters Grimm. All of which have had a very unique story telling and a wide range of diverse personalities. I have also partaken in two National Connections plays called "Takeaway" by Jackie Kay, "Musical Differences" by Robin French and "the Ceasefire Bbabies" which I performed both at the National Theatre as well as The Customs House. The Ceasefire Babies in paticular was about the good friday agreement where I was able to exhibit my acting skill to portray factual events in history. I have also started up my own Improv Group called Enthusiastic Parrot where we meet weekly at The Customs House. I owe a lot to The Customs House as not only has in introduced me to theatre and Musial theatre (in which I played a role in the musical adaptation of Our Day Out as part of a summer school), it has also introduced me to short films and how to act in front of a camera. These projects include directing a short film called Languages, acting in a short horror film called The Curse which was made and edited within the space of a day. I have also acted in a short silent film called 'While You're Asleep' and I have also made a short film for the Port of Tyne Reflect awards. My most recent one was a short thriller made over the space of two days and I was in charge of sound. They can all be found on YouTube. I have completed my expressive arts GCSE at school and in doing so have created performance pieces based around JK Rowling and Bullying which have all got me an A or an A*. I made a performance piece devoted to Bloody Mary while keeping to the theme of Fairytales, Myths and Legends. I also completed my drama A-Level where i played Clairee in Steel Magnolias. As well as acting in this and creating these pieces, i contributed to visual arts as well such as making my own costume and set pieces. I have acted in James and the Giant Peach, a pantomime adaptation of Babes in the Wood and Alice in Wonderland. They have all been extremely fun and definitely something I would love to do again. I have continued to write and star in the school's yearly pantomime: Cinderella (2015) and Beauty and the Beast (2016). However, I have decided to take the next step in my love for acting and performing and decided to try and put myself out there and explore new forms of acting. I have also completed the explore, the bronze and gold arts award. Other than acting I have done some street dancing, gymnastics and modern dancing which was also very enjoyable. I was a supporting artist on set of ITV’s Vera in May 2019 where I gained the experience and knowledge of working on a professional TV set.
