About me
I'm trained profesional actor with several years experience in film and theatre taking lead roles in several productions. Many of these have cast me as anti-heroes or villains, morally dubious, scheming chracters. I also have taken many roles playing broken, damaged, troubled characters on the wrong end of events. As my acting tutor said after graduating, "Guy, when you enter onto a stage something bad is going to happen; maybe to you, maybe to someone else. Or both."My introduction to acting was through Shakespearean theatre and other classical/classic plays such as Harold Pinter and Chekhov. Subsequently i have taken on all manner of roles, some very much my 'type' others very much not so, including chinese milk maid, an octogenarian bulter, Wildean libertine aristocrat, and, believe it or not, Santa Claus!
I tend to bring intensity, complexity, and brooding menace to roles but I also have a nerdy, awkward, man-child gauche quality.
I've been working in higher education for the last few years but now am looking to restart my acting career.
Acting experience:
I am a professional actor having trained at Birmingham School of Acting in 2007. I have performed on stage and screen many times taking lead roles in several stage and film productions.
I also attended Method Acting classes in London in 2008.
