About me
As an actor: I graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with an MA in Acting in 2017. Prior to that I trained with the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and the Soho Theatre's Writers' Lab. Most recent credits include: SHEELA in IT KIND OF LOOKS LIKE A DOUGHNUT at the Pleasance Theatre Downstairs (London, Aug 2021).I am London based and Cornwall based with an additional base in Derby/Nottinghamshire.
As a writer: With support of In Good Company's 2019 TAKE OFF Bursary I wrote and produced my first full-length play IT KIND OF LOOKS LIKE A DOUGHNUT, exploring female sexuality, friendship and its intersections with folklore. We had a successful R&D and two sharings at Nottingham Playhouse and Arena Theatre Wolverhampton in September 2019.
In 2020 I received The Pleasance Theatre Trust and Curve Theatre Leicester Partnership to help me to produce the show for a London-based Edinburgh Fringe run. This took place at Pleasance Downstairs in August 2021 and was the highest selling show in the Downstairs space.
Additional skills:
Good ear for accents. Stage/Screen Period Dance: Merengue, Schottische, Jive (Lindy-Hop) and Tango (Honours). BADC Stage Combat: Rapier and Dagger, Single Sword and Hand-to-Hand (Pass). FE Supply teacher (English Literature A2) and workshop leader. Writer and development professional (script editor/reader) for several HETV production companies and broadcasters.
