ADDITIONAL REVIEWS
SHERLOCK HOLMES - THE ACCIDENTAL ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES
"Jasmine Atkins-Smart as Sherlock was very talented... a very good performance all around."
Hari Ramikrishnan - BCFM radio
"Holmes himself made for a very satisfying experience... ably played by Jasmine Atkins-Smart whose pockets always seemed to have just one more pipe."
Peter Sutton - Bristol Book Blog
CHLOE - THE MISSED OPPORTUNITY
"Her 15-year-old daughter ‘Chloe’ [is] played completely convincingly by actress Jasmine Atkins-Smart..."
Inside Housing
"The tension in the small flat is palpable as the teenager comes up with a story about a dodgy neighbour who won't give their spare key back as the reason behind the need for the locks to be changed... The scene being played out in a small flat on the Snow Hill housing estate feels very real."
Bath Chronicle
LILY - GI JOE IN DORSET
"Jasmine Atkins-Smart certainly gets under the ‘so white’ skin of Joe’s girlfriend Lily... both entertaining and informative, evoking multiple emotions."
This is Dorset, Blackmore Vale Magazine
ELINOR DASHWOOD - SENSE AND SENSIBILITY
"Jasmine Atkins-Smart's Elinor was imbued with sensitivity, courage, and the occasional tinge of big sister prissiness. The casting was spot on..."
Catherine Guy, Austen Blog
"I find this performance of Sense and Sensibility truly outstanding in all aspects...My utmost applause goes to Jasmine Atkins-Smart (Elinor Dashwood) who gave an absolutely splendid performance... worth a standing ovation every night. "

SHERLOCK HOLMES - THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES
"The famous tale, which takes place first of all in London and swiftly moves to the misty and bog- ridden depths of Dartmoor, sticks generally to the original story, whilst keeping the audience on its toes with a new twist... Sherlock Holmes, however, was the surprise of the play. The actor assigned for this part unfortunately had to pull out just before the run, but replacement Jasmine Smart proved to be more than equal to the job."
The Week In
MINA HARKER 'DRACULA' 2012
"The cast, without exception, give impressively strong performances... The strength of this production lies in its ability to create three dimensional characters... A dark journey to savour and enjoy."
8/10 Bristol Evening Post
"The female characters, Lucy and Mina, both dutiful ladies and partners to their men, in contrast to their slutty counterparts, the brides of Dracula are portrayed well by Lydia Denney and Jasmine Smart"
Kath Hill, 'Public Reviews'
ADA 'PANNING FOR GOLD' 2012
"From a simple premise ~ three jilted brides meet in a therapy group for a series of sessions ~ writer Jasmine Smart has crafted a play of surprising diversity, devoid of cliche or sentimentality, and with deep emotional impact. The women's words are angry and painful but also witty, lyrical and inventive, and the actors (...including Jasmine herself) all movingly credible. The slow reveal of each suicidal story continues to the final moments but this is ultimately about human capacity to heal."
Crysse Morrison, Plays International
ROMEO 'ROMEO AND JULIET' 2012
"Jasmine Smart and Maia Ayling were perfectly cast in the title roles. Jasmine Smart brought passion and longing to her every word whilst keeping her street-smart, feisty persona..."
Lennox Cole, Guide 2 Bristol
"Ultimately we believe these lovers adore each other... Jasmine Smart as Romeo gives a clear reading of the melodramatic kid whose blinkered quest causes devastation to both houses."
Kerry Hood, Venue Magazine
"...Four stars, often verging on five star territory... Jasmine Smart's Romeo displayed a natural energy that held the stage."
Patrick Cash, Remote Goat
DENISE 'RESCUE ME' 2012
"Strong performances, in particular from Jasmine Smart, as Denise, who shone throughout..."
Vivienne Kennedy, Guide 2 Bristol
"Jasmine Smart plays a character who had a child with her former music teacher. Her story is one of the most intriguing of the lot and Smart is convincing as a gullible young girl and then a distraught mother as the story reaches its breakneck conclusion."
Sarah McLach, Bristol Culture
"The acting was of a high standard throughout, with Denise (Jasmine Smart) & Muriel particularly strong ... All in all, an interesting production..."
7/10, Michael Clark, Bristol Evening Post
MARK ANTONY 'JULIUS CAESAR' 2011
"...the emotional performance given was effective, with Brutus' growing jealousy and Anthony's suppressed grief undoubtedly touching the audience. In particular Anthony's "Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears" speech was impressive, showcasing Shakespeare's art of persuasion perfectly."

PAST REVIEWS
Cabaret Freaks 'Freak' (Lead Vocalist)
October 2011, The Lansdown, Bristol
"An awesome Hallowe'en experience! All four acts were superb, and the (brand new) Cabaret Freaks really sold the show. Opening with a stonking rendition of Tim Burton's 'This Is Hallowe'en', running into a sexy song from two whores, and ending the set with 'Science Fiction' (perfectly characterised)… And possibly the best rendition of Minelli's 'Cabaret' I've ever seen from the lead singer!"

Jane Price, What's Hot in Bristol
"In hot red wigs, platform boots, and purple mini-dresses - the girls knew how to put on a show... The real kick in the teeth came in the form of song two - Jekyll and Hyde's 'Bring on the Men' - the two ladies owned the stage, belted, entertained, and joked their way through... Highlights of the sets included: Little Shop's "Dentist" - with the sexy schoolgirl backing, the theme from "Cabaret" (including some classy heckling of the unfortunate latecomers), Rocky Horror's "Tou-tou-touch Me" - more more more! Special mention, though, for the impeccable Barry Bostwick send up by one of the girls (Sweet Transvestite). Comic genius... a good night's entertainment!"

Mark, www.skiddle.com
"...A hilarious, if not slightly explicit, rendition of "Be a Dentist". The last song - "Murder, Murder" brings us back to the theme of Halloween and enforces the notion that, whilst each member of the Cabaret Freaks is individually talented, they are strongest when harmonizing effortlessly with each other. There is no doubt that The Cabaret Freaks know how to entertain a crowd..."
Vicky Sheldon, Bristol Theatre Review
Frankenstein: the Pantomime 'Frankenstein'
January 2010, Alma Tavern Theatre, Bristol
"Frankenstein: The Pantomime is panto as you've never seen it before. Writer/director Jasmine Smart, as Frankenstein, made a nimble, engaging lead boy..."
Bristol 24-7
"Everyone, from the two adorable vampires in the chorus, to the camp and thoroughly entertaining 'Frankenstein' put their all in to this show, and it certainly paid off. The strongest ensemble cast I've seen at this level of theatre [...] this show is not to be missed."
9/10, Bristol Crackerjack
Cluedo - The Musical 'Mrs. Peacock'
August 2008, plus revival 2009, St. Augustine's, Edinburgh
"A fabulous re-working of last year's hit show... Full of impressive range (the Inspector (Luke Horne) and Mrs. Peacock (Jasmine Smart) both seem to span well over two octaves in one song alone..."
