About me

Son of a steel worker, Jarrow Marcher and a Cheshire waitress singer. Basic education, good at sports and particularly boxing - winning numerous championships. Worked on Cunard Liners as a waiter before successfully auditioning for East 15 Acting School.

I was one of the original street performers in Covent Garden and have performed in just about every media there is from street through cabaret, rep, touring, fringe, West End lead, and Hollywood feature films.

Recently I worked alongside Tom Hardy in Legend playing the father Charles Kray senior. In the original Krays film with the Kemp twins I played the part of Sam Ripley (their Mr Fixit), based on their real life associate Tony Lambrianou.

I was also voted best performer at Back 2 festival in Poland for my work in a Samuel Beckett text directed by American Professor Stan Gontarski. In August 2012 The New Bromantics (see Credits: Film) picked up the New York Television Festival Award for Best Scripted UK Pilot and Bloody Lip won the LA Comedy Festival for best ensemble with me in a crucial main role.
