About me

For the past 12 years I have co-run a successful touring theatre company, having successful runs at the National Media Museum, Bradford with '1984' featuring John Hurt and several productions, two of which were original pieces that I directed, which we took to the Edinburgh Fringe.
Before this I spent 2 years working as Nurse Reilly on YTV's 'The Royal'.
During this time I have been home educating my 3 children who are now at school allowing me to return full time to my calling in life!
I am versitile, hard working, always looking for a challenge and enjoy every aspect of acting.
Additional skills:
I have studied martial arts, Taekwondo, and have an all round dance training giving me a wide range of physicalities. I have recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma with The University of Warwick in Teaching Shakespeare in Theory and Practice for Actors. I have a lot of experience of running workshops with children and adults, specialising in Shakespeare and in other areas of acting eg voice, physical theatre/movement, text work, auditions.
Additional information:
I am currently working with The Alhambra Theatre, Bradford and The Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford-upon-Avon on the Learning and Performance Network as an actor/facilitator enlivening the teaching of Shakespeare using active, rehearsal room techniques.
