About me
POLITE NOTICEI am not accepting anymore unpaid/expenses only “opportunities”.
I wanted to be an actor for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Wigan, one of 3 children. I became a dad at 16. I went to college on a 3 year performing arts course and starting singing professionally at 18, however my commitments as a dad made it impossible for me to commit to my acting career full time. It wasn't until 2011 when after many years of training I was offered my first professional TV acting job as Jason Metcalf in the Battering Ram Robbery.
For fifteen years I worked regularly on shows such as; Brookside, Hollyoaks, Queer as Folk and Coronation Street. I attended Shockout Academy in Manchester between 2008 and 2010 taking classes in acting and dancing and also Stirling Academy in Bolton between 2010 and 2012 where I studied for my LAMDA exams. I attended ALRA Drama School full time in removed on their MA acting course graduating in December 2016 with a Maters degree.
I have ASM experience and am willing to combine this with my acting duties should the role require it. As an actor I enjoy playing characters that have some emotional depth, a role that will allow me express real life emotions, to push me as an actor and step out of my comfort zone so I can evolve and become a better actor.
As a singer I have a tenor voice with a range of G2 to top Bb4. Singing styles, Musical Theatre, Pop, Rock & Roll & Swing. I also have very good movement skills.
I have only ever had three professional acting ambitions; to appear in a soap as a character with dialogue and to see my name on the credits, I've achieved that twice now, to tour nationally and internationally in a major play/musical and to appear in the West End which would be the icing on the cake so to speak! I am still working on the last two and would happily sweep the stage and make the tea to land that role in the West End!
I am hard working, reliable, punctual and a team player but can also work alone if necessary and I am prepared to work hard to achieve my goals.

Jekyll & Hyde
This offering succeeds or fails on the amazing Jekyll/Hyde actor, and here Karl Heaver turned in a towering and masterly portrayal seen at his best rocketing round the two level stage, savagely mad and wholly believable.

Karl Heaver was a pleasure to work with. He was a punctual and reliable member of the cast. He worked well with the rest of the team and was very helpful in-between takes. It is clear to me that Karl takes his acting very seriously. Karl did thorough research into the character that he played and he stayed very focused whilst on set. Karl was also a fantastic actor to direct, as he listened to everything he was told and was forthcoming if there was anything he didn’t completely understand. We were very lucky to have had him involved in our production.

FILM: Robin Hoodie and The Great Balls Up
After working with Karl Heaver I felt it necessary to come straight on here and give some feedback. Working with Karl was an absolute treat, he has an extremely professional attitude and is keen to get every detail spot on, his acting ability is of a high standard and he knows how to adapt to a role and help to formulate his character. He was a pleasure to work with and everybody involved has enjoyed working alongside him. I would recommend Karl to anybody interested in working with a pleasant, professional actor and I myself hope to work with him again in the future.
