About me
I have worked as an S.A on various recent films and TV projects - Paddington 2, Patrick, The Angel, The Royals and completed principal work on Rellik for the BBC. I have had an extremely varied working history spanning everything from I.T to bar work to prisoner transport, to activity instructing for a kids camp in England, working on boats on a pearl farm, conducting kids camps for Aboriginal children in Australia, court orderly work, voice over work, working in a police watch house and a hundred other things in between during time backpacking.Television experience:
Principal work on Rellik for the BBC.
Additional skills:
I am trained in a number of areas of high level security work such as cell extractions, non-compliant escorting, speed cuffing, hand to hand combat etc. I was for a number of years senior first aid qualified.
Interesting past experiences:
I used to work in the busiest police watchhouse in Australia (Alice Springs)
I once almost died of thirst on an island in Thailand
I met my wife in a job where we were scratching the backs off phone cards.
I once took over the driving from a 'bus car' driver in Thailand on winding mountain roads because the driver was too drunk to drive and the other passengers refused to continue the trip with him after he nearly crashed.
During my days doing prisoner transport a truck with 12 prisoners on board once broke down as the accelerator cable snapped. Myself and my partner continued the trip for another 250 km with me operating the accelerator from a rope out of the passenger window.
I have been on hunting trips for giant goanna's with Aboriginal children.
I was once asked to be initiated into an Aboriginal tribe but declined as the details of the initiation were scarce and sketchy.
I have ridden an elephant by sitting on its head.
I grew up in an old gold mining ghost town in Australia with a total population of around 350 people (including the surrounding area).
My friend and I used to entertain ourselves as kids by shooting arrows at each other and trying to catch them.
I have been involved in remote area Aboriginal funerals where I was part of a large group of mourners huddled over the grave in a traditional ceremony as I was handcuffed to one of the attending family members.
During work for a bed and breakfast in Ireland special permission was gained by the owner for me to put a gate and steps into a historic dry stone retaining wall. In the process of constructing the steps I came across two pipes. Permission was gained for me to cut the pipes as they were believed to be not in use. When I cut through the first it cut off some of the towns water supply the second cut off everyone's mobile phones.
I once almost became homeless in Brixton but luckily found live in bar work at the last moment and then survived for a week on a packet of peanuts until I got paid.
I once spent the night in one of the areas of fenced off trees in Hyde Park.
I once attended an event featuring David Vaughan The drunk Monk from Big Brother 11 where people were getting drunk on the holy spirit.
In my last years of boarding school I used to store home made beer under my bed which I brewed with some of my friends and used to sell it to the other boarders for pocket money.
