About me
I am an actor, playwright, director and producer. Most recently I appeared at INK Festival as Anne in 'Shortcliffs Bed and Breakfast' directed by James Christopher and 'A Day in the Married Life' by Jan Etherington. I co-produced and acted in 'Constellations' by Nick Payne in February this year at the New Wolsey Studio. This was the inaugral production of my company Empty Stages and was sold out for each performance.I have been undertaking the Soho Theatre's Writers' Lab this year and have written my first full-length play. Earlier this year, my play 'The Binding' was performed as part of The Owl and Cat Theatre's Summer season in Melbourne, Australia.
'The Binding' reviews
’It’s raw, it’s human, it’s bare bone minimalist theatre at it’s best’ (Weekend Notes)
‘the focus is squarely on the dialogue, which is smart and sassy. In fact, it feels real and alive.’ (The Blurb)
**** ‘it truly is a hauntingly beautiful creation of art that is engaging and unforgettable’ (Theatre People)
I was also selected for the 'Introduction to Directing' course with Gecko as part of the Regional Theatre Young Directors Scheme where I directed a short physical theatre piece. I have a degree in English Literature and American Studies from the University of Manchester as well as a Study Abroad year at UC San Diego, where I also undertook part-time training in Acting with Steppenwolf director Kim Rubenstein. I have also been a member of the National Youth Theatre since 2009.
