About me

Natalia Campbell has been performing professionally for over twenty years.

Her first professional job, Tango Argumentio with The Flying Gorillas Company came while she was still studying. A combination of physical comedy, dance and live music which was an instant hit in the UK and then finally transferred to Argentina with a residency with the Guarani Tribal Communities in the Argentinean Jungle.

Over the years Natalia has enjoyed a diversity of acting work with various theatre companies including - Birmingham Rep, Nottingham Playhouse, Leicester Haymarket (The Curve), Soho Theatre, Salisbury Playhouse, Pentabus, The Dukes Theatre, Theatre 503, Actors of the Dionysus, Farnham Maltings.

Her wish to perform classical theatre came true when Natalia was cast as Kate in Taming of The Shrew in an International Tour with TNT/ ADG Theatre Company for ten months. Due to the success of this production, she was then cast in the next five Shakespeare productions as: Titania/Hippolyta in Dream, Gertrude in Hamlet, Beatrice in Much Ado, Emilia/Bianca in Othello and the Nurse in Romeo & Juliet. All the tours combined meant that Natalia toured the world constantly for six years in thirty countries and became part of the first western theatre company to perform Shakespeare in Vietnam, India and at The National Theatre of China in Beijing.

Natalia’s work in television and film has led to roles in Eastenders, Casualty and various short films, commercials, pilots, idents, documentaries, in-house films as well as being cast in Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again by writer and director Ol Parker.

My name is Ol Parker, and I’m just wrapping Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again, which I wrote and directed. It’s been a mammoth endeavour, involving a giant number of cast and crew. And I can honestly say that among my favourites of all of then was Natalia Campbell. The choreographer Anthony Van Laast and I started auditioning dancers and performers some months ago, and it was clear as soon as she walked in to the room that Natalia should be hired immediately, and that we’d be lucky to have her. On and off camera she was warm, engaging presence, and she has a grace and wit that served her character well, but also helped get us through the long hours of shooting. I would love to work with her again, and would recommend her to anyone without hesitation as a client, friend and everything in between.
