About me
Tim Marriott is perhaps best known as an actor for seven series of the BBC TV's leisure centre sit-com The Brittas Empire, appearing in every episode as deputy manager Gavin. Other TV credits include British Airman ‘Tigger Thompson’ in Allo Allo, Doctors, The Bill, An Actor's Life for Me, The Main Event, Luv and film credits include the forthcoming features; The Real Thing, Love Type D and Revelation. After a seventeen year 'career break' in education, he returned to theatre in 2018 as a writer, director and performer, founding Smokescreen Productions. He currently produces and performs six new thematic plays, 'Shell Shock', a stand up solo show about an old soldier's journey through PTSD, 'Mengele', a holocaust themed drama, 'All Change', a gentle comedy about living with dementia, 'Judas', a political thriller, and he is presently in rehearsal for a Shakespearean comedy, 'Waiting for Hamlet' as well as a Holmes-ian solo drama, 'Watson: The Final Problem'.Acting experience:
Trained at the Webber Douglas after university. Multiple fringe, festival, repertory, touring and West End credits prior to TV career largely in sit-com. Recent work has focused on new writing and international touring.
