About me
I would say I am a playful, instinctive and spontaneous actress. I love working on all sorts of scripts and genres. After leaving Mountview Theatre School I have trained in various other classes and workshops and work all the time with the camera to improve film acting skills. Whilst I work as an acting coach too I have always been a practitioner and brought my natural style of acting to stage, short films and corporate events. I am now looking to build on this experience, and have a particular interest in securing more TV/Film roles.Acting experience:
I trained at Mountview Theatre School and since then I have studied various forms of acting techniques from Meisner, Stanislavski, Michael Chekhov, LeCoq either as an acting coach or actress. I have devised and run acting courses and monthly workshops which are on my website. I have acted in theatre, film, tv and corporate jobs. New discoveries in my acting never cease to amaze me. I feel so much gratitude for working in this inspiring profession.
Additional skills:
I am a qualified Acting Teacher and Coach. BA (HONS) Cert Ed. I am presently freelance in my teaching jobs.
And I am also LAMDA examiner
Visiting teacher at Anna Fiorentini Theatre School
Professional workshop facilitator

Valerie Dent - Reviews
Spreading her Thinly
Valerie Dent slipped effortlessly from character to character and back, here brimming with energy and optimism, there darkly critical or utterly exhausted'. (Malcolm E Thomas)
Elevator Man
In this one woman show, company founder, Valerie Dent, totally makes the play her own, to make a night of exciting, innovative theatre; well written, well acted and well worth your attention'.
(Three weeks - Edinburgh Fringe Mag)
