Adam Matthew Proctor is an English actor born in Stockport; Greater Manchester. As a child, Adam began to show signs of his imagination and creativity which he used to full advantage in his performing art courses. After discovering his talent in acting and performing, Adam began to focus on improving his vocal awareness, physicality and general acting skills. His dream of becoming an actor started from when he was in school and as such he began to work extensively on his performing which lead him into college and eventually a place at Manchester Metropolitan University. During his time in education, Adam discovered a variety of theories and approaches to acting from various practitioners in which he studied in depth in order to discover which he felt benefited him the most. His interest and motivation to learn all these theories came from his determination to become the best actor he could be.
After his time at University, Adam was accepted in to the Manchester School Of Acting under the renowned acting coach 'Mark Hudson'. Adam has successfully completed his first year, gaining the 'Foundation certificate in acting'.
Adam has discovered his strengths and is fully aware of what he sells to an audience and how to make scenes exciting to watch. He is a fearless actor and willing to try anything, regardless of how vulnerable it makes him feel. Adam brings a sense of 'danger' to his scenes, yet also has the ability to get audiences to sympathise with him. Because of this, he is not restricted to one kind of role/
Due to the importance of preparation in acting, Adam believed he should receive as much training as possible before beginning to work in the industry. He is now ready and determined to show the acting industry his talent and is determined to become a successful, growing actor and gain huge amounts of experience.
At the beginning of 2015, Adam took on a role for a short film project called 'perspectives'. The project was directed by Kevin Burke who was impressed by Adam's commitment and ability to bring his script to life.
Later on in the year, Adam took on the role of 'Dylan' in a music video for the band 'Aquillo' and their new song 'Good Girl'. The video was directed by 'Jack King' under the company Rossi Pictures. Again Jack was extremely pleased with Adams ability in bringing the writers work to life and allowing the filming to run smoothly.
More recently, Adam has taken part in a film trailer which potentially will be developed into a complete film. Due to the trailer still being worked on, I am unable to mention the name of the company or directors of the trailer.
