Highlights

I have been acting for five years starting with on stage extra/ small speaking rolls with the Derby Shakespeare Theatre Company. I have also done a lot of work with the Outlaw Shakespeare Theatre Company including a UK touring production of 'Twelfth Night'- my most notable rolls included Nick Bottom in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and Malvolio in 'Twelfth Night'. I have also done a lot of acting work outside of Shakespeare which includes stage musicals (chorus of 'Grease Lightning' and Ernst in 'Spring Awakening the Musical' both of which included singing and dancing), John Godber's 'Bouncers', Noel Coward's 'Ways and Means' and Willy Russel's 'Stags and hens'. A favourite role of mine was Mitch in Tennessee William's 'A Streetcar Named Desire' at Seven Arts Theatre in Leeds which received consistent 4/5 star reviews:
"Alex’s Mitch was brimming with tragic passion for Blanche. Particularly impressive was the explosive scene where Blanche is taken to the asylum, and Mitch loses his head. We see the anguish and realisation flash across his face; he does care for her, and as the audience we get the sense that maybe everything could have been different."-http://www.lippymag.co.uk/theatre-review-a-streetcar-named-desire
In March 2014 I played the lead role in a new piece called 'Tedtopia' in which I played Edward (Ted) Plum III.
I am also a director and my directing works include 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest', Shakespeare's 'Titus Andronicus' and an original work that was showcased this year (2014) at the Edinburgh Fringe festival called 'In Control'.
Recently I have been attempting to take on a range of diverse roles in a number of different settings, for example, I have just completed a two week run as a scare actor at Alton Towers, working as a costumed character within a horror maze.
I currently work as a full time actor at the London Dungeon playing various characters.
I am keen to get into film acting as well as stage work and hope to gain some experience of this over the coming months.
