About me
I am an actor based in Hertfordshire and London, having recently graduated from the University of East Anglia's (UEA) Drama degree program with a 2:1. I have been interested in theatre and the arts for most of my life, and my experience has given me excellent people skills and a huge appreciation for all of the work that goes on behind the scenes to make theatre and drama happen.Whilst at UEA I co-founded a theatre company with my colleagues, Bottled Spider Productions, which has successfully produced three shows thus far, including 'The Baffling Adventures of Question-Mark Man' at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year, which earned a five-star review from broadwaybaby.com
I have also worked with the National Youth Theatre, having been a member since the summer of 2011, and so have a good understanding of what it takes to stage a large scale ensemble piece for a big audience.
My singing skills and vocal training have led me to play many roles over the course of my life. Due to the rich low nature of my voice, I have often been cast in various authority figures and villains, but I am not averse to any opportunities to try for something completely different.
Additional skills:
- LABAN training
- Stage Combat (BASSC); rapier & dagger, unarmed
- Fencing; high levels of experience in foil, sabre, moderate experience with epée
- CCF Military training; weapons handling, military knowledge (RAF), survival skills, military drill
- Singing; high levels of experience, with focus on choir/choral, acappella, musical theatre
- Dancing; minor experience, musical theatre and ballroom
- Horseriding; moderate
- Archery; moderate
- Scuba Diving; PADI Open Water
Additional information:
UEA graduate, 2013-16
National Youth Theatre, 2011-present
I have also directed and written several shows, and am currently working closely with my new company, Bottled Spider Productions, to produce theatre dedicated to examining and satirising modern social and political issues.
