Highlights
-
I have been acting all my life in drama clubs and groups, I was in various productions such as ‘The Millennium Bug’, in which I was the millennium bug, ‘The Ice Palace’ which I was asked to audition for by the director, despite being under the age limit the director had set to audition. I moved to France and continued drama there, I was in the play ‘Bleu Bleu, Ca y Est Bleu’ in which I was ‘Le Passeur’(2005), ‘L’Expo’ where I had various roles (2006), and ‘Romeo and Juliet’ was my final performance in France, in which I played Mercutio (2007).
I returned to Britain and started a Theatre and Drama degree in 2012 at the University of South Wales. This opened many opportunities to me to be involved in student films and radio dramas as well as my own performances that are part of my course. I have worked with a wide range of scripts as part of my course such as ‘Coram Boy’, ‘The Events’, ‘Earthquakes in London’, ‘The Cherry Orchard’, and many other pieces. I have performed various scenes and extracts on stage since starting my degree, from plays such as ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolfe’ in which I was Martha (2012), ‘Closer’ in which I was Alice (2013), and ‘The Wonderful World of Dissocia’ in which I was four different characters in four different scenes (Lisa, Biffer, Dot and Passenger 1).
My degree has also permitted me to gain experience in film acting whereas before my acting experience had been mainly stage based. I have also been involved in student films such as ‘Red Road’ (extract) in which I played Jackie Morrison (2012), and ‘From Greenside to Stateside’, in which I played Juliet (2014). I have also had the chance to work on radio dramas such as ‘I Love Radio Drama’ in which I played Evie, and in a Radio advert which I will begin recording shortly. In 2013 I was in the Manic Street Preachers’ music video ‘Show Me The Wonder’ which won best video in the Q award 2013; in this video I was invited to do additional filming as they wanted close up shots.
