Education
Year Qualification Where 2013 Post Graduate Acting Drama Centre London Additional Skills
I am keen baker and absolutely love experimenting with recipes. In addition I am a massive fashion addict and love nothing more than styling other and myself and getting creative with hair, make-up and the clothes.
About me
I am a recent MA Acting Drama Centre London graduate. Initially I studied Ancient History and Archaeology at the University of Birmingham. I had a wonderful university experience as I was able to develop both socially and academically. However during my studies at Birmingham I realised that my heart was not in it and that I was fulfilling other peoples expectations for me. I knew that my calling in life was to be an actor and tell stories.
Subsequently I took the bull by the horns and did a 3week Summer Drama school programme at the Guildhall Drama school here my hungry and drive to pursue an acting career was further fuelled. I was determined to make my dreams come true and I applied to Drama school in January 2012.
Before going to Drama Centre London in September 2012 I toured with The Opera Group in their production of Sir Harrison Birtwistle‘s ‘Bow Down’, which was staged at London, Brighton, Norwich/ Norfolk and Latitude Festival. As a member of the cast I was required to work as part of a diverse ensemble comprising of actors, dancers and musicians. This further required me to rise to the challenge of exploring my musical and theatrical capability.
I also took part in the Triforcepromotions Monologue Slam competition at the Oval house theatre in April 2012. In addition I am member of Southwark Playhouse’s young company an exciting and diverse young people ensemble.
My training at Drama Centre London was mainly classical theatre practice. It was an intensive 1year conservatoire Actor training course. Eight weeks were spent in Moscow and a two-week 'live project' in Epidaurus, Greece. Skills classes in Voice, Movement, Neutral Mask, Ballet, Period Dance, Speech and Acting underpin a program embracing the Greeks to Contemporary drama, with particular emphasis on Shakespeare and Chekhov. I now making use of my current skills and experiences but also wanting to broaden my acting skill set.
