About me
ArtisticallyI have always been captivated by the arts. To Innovate and introduce something new to established pieces of work is something I find very interesting. There’s no greater complement than if as an audience member you are exhilarated or you lose yourself totally in what you are seeing, forgetting for a moment that you are watching a play. This is a measure of a good performance and what I wish to achieve.
When I start a project. I often see a vision in my head of how somethings going to be and I set about realising it
My Motto is to innovate, so always put my personal stamp on something. I try to be true to myself. This can lead to dark places and self-doubt but it’s important to recognise that and make it work for me
Acting experience:
I graduated with an M A in Acting and Theatre Directing from the University of East London. This is a practice-based programme for those wishing to develop a career as a professional theatre director, an innovative theatre praxis and an understanding of creative producing in London, the centre of British theatre. The programme was practice-based and industry-facing, and aligned with both main stage and contemporary arts practice. The programme gives students the support to develop as theatre directors and, crucially, independent creative producers with the ability to make high quality and innovative performance work.
I have acted and directed for several years in productions such as The House of Bernarda Alba by Federico Garcia Lorca., “Equus” by Peter Shaffer. I have had a special interest in Harold Pinter since I was a student and have acted in and directed The Room and “The Dumb Waiter “I have also directed productions such as “Pack of Lies” by Hugh Whitmore. I recently wrote and acted and directed a sequel to Tennessee William’s “A Streetcar Named Desire “called “632 Elysian Fields.”
Additional skills:
directing ,writing .i have a good knowledge of the law and health and safety considerations.
I am skilled at English dialects and different European and American accents
Additional information:
I found that having an artistic outlet was the perfect way to express my thoughts, creativity, and imagination. After a short course at The Poor School and throwing my hands into the ring with a couple of productions I quickly fell in love with directing and building on my training with the University of East London I have not looked back since, committing to a career as a professional Actor and Theatre Director
