About me
Now in my 60s and play characters early 60s-early 70s. I am comfortable playing a range of characters: 'larger than life' through to criminal/Mr Big types and quiet/withdrawn ones. I have worked, paid and unpaid, in theatre (indoor and out), film and training videos and role play. I draw on my life experience as father, husband, academic, in business, management consulting/leadership trainer, youth worker and potter (I still have my own workshop). Born and bred in West Wales my normal speaking voice is RPish with some of my Welsh accent coming through. I have a reasonable bass singing voice and have sung solo and in choirs.Began performing as a child, sang folk and acted a little in my early 20s. Involved in a considerable amount of role play work as a management trainer and produced/appeared in training videos. Trained at Bristol University and short courses. Run a small theatre company 'Thoughtful Theatre'
Additional skills:
Speak conversational Welsh - born and bred in Carmarthen West Wales. Competent potter - professional at one time and still have my own workshop. Over the last three years I have directed as well as performed.
Additional information:
A short film where I play a blind person and provide the voiceover can be found on http://vimeo.com/32270218
