About me
Bróccán Tyzack-Carlin is an actor, comedian and poet from Hartlepool. He has headlined comedy and spoken word nights across the country and has performed his work at the Royal Albert Hall. His debut show 'Don't Bother' toured to venues across the UK and Ireland, including Edinburgh Fringe (Underbelly), receiving 5 star reviews in the process. His current show Turtle has enjoyed sell out dates in London, Manchester, Sheffield, Newcastle, Nottingham and Hartlepool. It was curated to be part of FUSE International Festival and NSDF 2022.He received the Saboteur award for Best Spoken Word Show and was nominated for Best Spoken Word Performer. At the GM Fringe Awards, he was nominated for Best Comedy Show, and Best Newcomer.
He was a principal writer and performer on the BBC Radio Tees Comedy Hour, and an alumnus of the Durham Revue. He won the Manchester Slam 2018 and the Huddersfield Literature Festival Slam 2019. He was a Hammer and Tongue National Finalist 2019.
As an actor he has been part of a development team at the Royal Exchange, toured with Pigfoot Theatre and taken a leading role in the short film 'Brothers Keepers'. He received the Spotlight Award for Most Promising Actor at the National Student Drama Festival.
