About me
I am a contemporary dance performer, with a deep passion for acting, which led me into Physical Dance Theatre. At the moment I am a dancer in JV2 removed (Jasmin Vardimon 2 dance company), touring soon. Trainend at Trinity Laban in London, I am originally from Italy, where my passion for dance and arts has grown since I was really young. I studied foreign languages and litteratures at the University of Bologna before moving to London, where I managed to refine my english and accent. I am really interested in acting and I had the pleasure to work on some Jv2 pieces with Geoffrey Colman. I would be very excited to experience working on a film set, since I had some experiences on videomaking and shooting for dance pieces and fashion.Skills

BIOGRAPHY
Originally from Italy, Caterina is a Physical theatre performer in Jasmin Vardimon 2 Company (JV2. 2016/2017). She started dancing at a very young age. Her passion for movement encouraged her to study different styles including ballet , contemporary dance and dance theatre before joining Eliadi youth dance company. While focusing on her dance training, she also attended the prestigious University of Foreign Languages in Bologna nourishing her interest towards russian and german cultures. She was offered a place at Trinity Laban, where she graduated with a First Class Honour Degree in 2016. During her training she had the opportunity to perform in works by internationally acclaimed choreographers such as Sasha Waltz (Women choreographed by Mata Sakka), Lea Anderson (Smithereens, filmed by BBC4 for the documentary Strictly Modern Dance) and Debbi Purtill (Ballet Lorent) among others. Alongside her studies, she has collaborated with different artists, she created her own works and has been involved in numerous projects such as Crossroads 2016 Exhibition by renowned visual artist Susan Hefuna. These experiences pushed her to be not only a dancer but also a model (on Vogue 2014 for Phannatiq), a choreographer and a site-specific performer. She has also worked as an intern for internationally acclaimed companies as Martha Graham Dance Company in New York and Ballet Preljocaj in France. Caterina also has a deep passion for acting in english, which was nourished alongside her training at Laban under the direction of Adam Hypki. In JV2 Caterina had the great possibility to refine and deepen her acting skills with Geoffrey Colman.
