    Acting experience

My most notable stage performances include performing for the National Theatre in Space 2 Create under the direction of Rachel Young and Malik Nashid Sharpe, playing Vicky in the world premier of A Teenage Opera, directed by Julie Atherton in 2017, playing Pea Gibbons, in Jez Butterfield’s Jerusalem (March 2019) and performing the role of Velma Kelly in Chicago (March 2020). I have also performed solos at Her Majesty’s Theatre London and at the Peacock Theatre London.

My love for the screen was inspired when in September 2017 I was selected for the BFI Regional Film Academy. I discovered camera skills, crewed, assisted the producer, Nerina Villa. I was also selected as the lead actor for the short film ’Champagne Dancing’ created by BFI, in conjunction with Yamination Studios, Blue Hippo TV and Speak of the Devil TV. The incite I gained over this three month period was invaluable and led me to apply for the National BFI Screenwriters Academy. After submitting 3 short scripts I was selected in November 2018 to take part. Not only did this opportunity provide a different perspective on the creating process but as a performer it enabled me to appreciate how language and direction is used on screen. My short film script First Flush received a professional reading at the BFI in February 2018. In the same month I also successfully auditioned to be an actor with the National Youth Film Academy. I made my second short film ‘Grab the Bag’ in the summer 2018. I have since collaborated with various film makers and been cast in a further 4 short films. Slip Up and Jester have both won numerous awards at film festivals in 2019.

After auditioning in January 2020 I was selected to become a member of the National Youth Theatre.
