About me
CHLOE HEAVER
TEASER
An actor and championship-winning horse rider, Chloe Heaver adapts easily
to her audience, whether on set at Pinewood Studios or in a riding arena. Highly
recommended by directors, Chloe is an observant and imaginative actor, whose work
spans many genres. Her repertoire of accents includes American, RP, Northern,
Somerset County and London Cockney.
BIOGRAPHY
Chloe Heaver was born on 16 February 1989. Growing up in the West Sussex
countryside in a family that competes show horses, her performances are as
spellbinding in the riding arena as they are on the small and silver screens. An
accomplished championship-winning rider, Chloe honed her performing skills in
showing horses before falling in love with acting, aged 13. Two years later she graced
the stage in Georgina Lamb's production of Garcia Lorca's Yerma, playing an old
spinster at the West Sussex County Theatre. Her fascination with all facets of theatre
led to stellar results in Drama at school.
Blessed with a face for film, however, Chloe was soon persuaded to act on
screen. Finding a new medium in which to showcase her talents, she enrolled in
acting classes with a team of professional tutors in London. Having played a wide
range of characters, from junkies to free-loving hippies, she has been described as a
thoughtful and observant actor, and praised for her ability to assume diverse roles
without an ounce of self-consciousness. A highly recommended actor, Chloe brings a
breath of fresh air to any script. The director Stephen Brocklehurst recalls her ability
to make scenes 'far better than they were written' on the pilot episode of the TV
series The Hot House (2010), in which she plays one of the lead roles.
Naturally chameleon-like, Chloe's looks adapt to all stereotypes and genres,
from classical to punk, or from pretty to cutting-edge. She instinctively adjusts her
performances to suit the characters being played. Yet, despite her phenomenal ability
to assume any role with ease, Chloe has also been described as down-to-earth on set,
and 'a genuine pleasure to work with'.
In addition to horse riding, in which she rides in the English classic style as
well as sidesaddle, Chloe is also skilled at snowboarding, and possesses shotgun and
rifle licences. Her many talents are not restricted to physical pursuits, however, as she
is also able to slip seamlessly into a range of accents, including American, RP,
Northern, Somerset County and London Cockney. Her fascination with the history of
the American accent, for example, proves her commitment when it comes to
researching a character, down to the very smallest detail. Despite this, she is gracious
when receiving constructive criticism, recognising it as an integral part of the
collaborative process.
Inspired by actors like Keira Knightley, Chloe brings a little bit of herself to
all of her roles, complementing the characters she plays. Warm and amiable off-set,
Chloe's intensity on camera is carefully controlled, and she makes the most complex
of characters easy on the eye. Despite her many talents and accomplishments, it is this
very essence of performance - this ability to act like she isn't acting at all - that makes
Chloe Heaver's star shine brightly.
