About me
I am an actor, dramatist, musician and practitioner working in the entertainment industry and concurrently, schools and colleges. My career experiences as a performer have given me a great deal of confidence and my voracious thirst for creativity has pushed me into other artistic fields and roles. I have further developed my skills as a dramatist with a first class honours BA Drama degree [2013] and a MA in Playwriting [2015] both at the University of Essex. Consequently, I have begun to write for both theatre and screen. As a musician I compose and front the band ‘The Lowriders’. My own artistic development is on-going and is enhanced further when sharing my love of the arts with others as a creative practitioner.Acting experience:
David's 30+ years experience in TV/Film/Theatre includes starring in the BAFTA Award winning MUNGO BP & ME, and he also played the Artful Dodger in the West End & on Broadway. David recently graduated with a BA (Hons) 1st Class Drama degree and an MA Playwriting Degree, both at Essex Uni. Concurrently, he works as a Creative Practitioner/Performance Coach. Most recently, David has written, produced and acted in his own play Face Down in a Land of Freedom, in essex and the London Fringe. He sang with Patti Lupone at her one woman show, featured in season 5 of Game of Thrones, and played Paul Reader in the film, The Hatton Garden Job.
Additional skills:
I am a director.producer and artistic director of Skint Theatre, a production company championing diversity, producing provocative and exhilarating work.
