About me
I have always been creative from a young age; devising original pieces fusing drama, singing and dancing to show to family members.Since the early 2000's I have been able to combine my love for the creative arts and passion for youth work. I have been involved in a very large range of events, and performances. From forum theatre for NHS conferences, to performing in prisons/youth offending institutes, to creating & delivering my own drama and film projects for high school students in the Caribbean island of St Kitts, to presenting interactive performances to students in Holland and Belgium, to performing at the RSC in Julius Caesar set in Africa.
My background is mainly stage, theatre in education and facilitating drama workshops. However, I have started to gain a lot more screen experience; and it's an area I want to focus on more. Especially as we are in a digital age and it can carry messages far and wide quicker. Which will help with the reason I like to use the creativity with young people; my motto is 'challenging mindsets through the arts. It is the ethos behind the work I create, as I believe the arts are a powerful tool for that.
