About me
Though my playing age is listed as 24, I have a versatile look which enables me to play any age between 16 - 30.I have a good ear for accents. This combined with my dark features means I can also play characters of many different cultures.
Though slightly built, I am physically strong and am able to use my body and movements effectively in performance.
Additional skills:
Yoga, running, climbing, basic ukulele, scriptwriting.
Additional information:
Winner of the 2012 Arts Richmond Swan Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Play as Emmi Straube in Taking Sides.
Reviews for A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man:
'The strongest actor in this piece is the protagonist - Emily Carmichael...she connects to the text, visualises the subtleties of the language and evokes meaning from the words.'
- onestoparts.com
'Emily Carmichael's interestingly cross-gender portrayal of the hero brings out a sensitivity and vulnerability in the character.'

Review for Dying For It:
'Emily Carmichael is a delight'
