About me
I have been performing on stage from a young age in local and school musical theatre productions, playing principal roles in Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, The Boyfriend, Oliver Twist, and The Wizard of Oz. I took an annual summer music and drama course for eight years during this time, and continued to perform in local stage productions and as a soloist in various capacities. I completed drama studies, and piano and singing studies with the Royal Irish Academy of Music. I attained a degree in Classical Music from UCC Ireland, majoring in performance, and completed popular music studies in London which resulted in performances on French and Japanese television. I achieved my MFA in Music and Performance Writing in 2016. I joined the Marlowe People's Company in Canterbury in 2013, taking part in weekly training workshops and productions. To compliment my stage experience, I have completed studies in screen acting with City Lit, Acting with Method and most recently I took a summer course in Spain with The Actors Space.
While I work hard behind the scenes, my approach to a role is to be totally present, and deliver a performance that is instinctive and organic. I draw from my own life experience, the narrative, characters, my fellow actors and of course the direction's vision. I love working both independently and collaboratively on any project and value the chance to positively serve the demands of a role, as well as to continually learn, and improve my craft.
