    About me

Emily Milburn is an Australian born actress, living in London.

Starred in Australian soap opera Neighbours for two years as Catkin Atkins, living on Ramsay Street at No30 with Toadfish and Sarah.

As a child actress, Emily joined talent agency "Frog Management" at the age of 11 after being noticed at a 'Drama With A Difference' workshop performance in Melbourne.

Quickly Emily was auditioning for major rolls, one of her first castings was at Liz Mulliner's where she was offered a character part on the BBC/ABC co-production, 'The Genie From Down Under'. She appeared in 10 out of 13 episodes and played Macia Huntly, a stuck up English school girl. Marcia's scenes were all set in England but filmed in Melbourne, and Emily delivered her lines in an English accent. Emily enjoyed working on set with the talented cast members including comedian's Mark Mitchell, Ian McFadyen and Magda Szubanski, actors Monica Maughan, Anna Galvin, Jacinta Stapleton and Rys Muldoon. Directed by Esben Storm.

In 1997 Jan Russ cast Emily as the character Caitlin Atkins on Australia's longest running soap opera, Neighbours. She was main cast for 18 months. Emily's character Caitlin, who featured heavily, was a competitive swimmer and was involved in the long standing love triangle between the popular characters Billy and Anne. Caitlin was a determined character who also had a vulnerable side to her, missing her family in Adelaide and struggling to fit in. Caitlin lived at house number 30 on Ramsey Street along with Sarah Beaumont (played by Nicola Charles) and with Toadfish Rebecchi (played by Ryan Moloney)

After finishing the soap, Emily spent time in London promoting Neighbours, while appearing various talk shows and children's TV chat programs in both London and Scotland, on the BBC, Disney and Digital TV channels.

Upon her return to Australia, Emily honed her craft, attending courses at The Victorian College of The Arts and The National Institute of Dramatic Arts, completing courses For Film and Television, Voice, and Understanding The Text of Shakespeare.

Emily featured in a Melbourne commercial for Public Transport.

Emily appeared in the Australian feature film 'One Perfect Day', Directed by Paul Curry.

In 2008 Emily moved to London, UK where she currently lives.

Emily had a presenting role in a commercial for Transport for London, launching the 'Barclays Cycle Hire Scheme' to the city. The ad was about bicycle fashion for women.

Emily studies acting in London, at the 'Melbourne Actors Studio', with Bruce Alexander.
