About me
I'm a RADA-trained British actor with nine years experience working across theatre and film in both lead and supporting roles. I’m very excited by the endless possibilities for theatre and film to provoke and prod; to hold an unforgiving mirror up to society in order to make us think, reflect, feel, act and change. I am the artistic director of Oxia Theatre (www.oxiatheatre.com) where we make gritty, raw work that combines text and physicality to ask questions at the more uncomfortable edges of the human experience. Having trained with Frantic Assembly, I'm hugely drawn to physical theatre in all its forms. I am particularly passionate about theatre and film projects that discuss the human condition, that engage audiences in vital issues and that want to shine a light on things that need exploding and discussing. I like real, thought provoking art in all its forms. I want to work across the industry - developing my own work for Oxia, but also working with other companies and casts in those theatres and for those writers and directors who's work I love and admire. You can read more about me, and see more of my work on my website - www.emmawilkinsonwright.com
