About me
Being a good listener is a quality I have always prided myself on. Perhaps a more natural career path would have been a therapist, or a hairdresser, but I believe listening and responding are skills that are crucial to the world of acting. There is truth in the old phrase ‘all acting is reacting’, and I believe it is this empathy and responsiveness - to my audience and my fellow actors - that makes me the actor that I am today. Altruism aside though, I cannot deny having always loved the spotlight for myself. When we were younger, my older sister and I would write a play or musical almost every weekend, she would always play the princess and I would end up playing every single other role. I owe my versatility as an actress almost entirely to her, I am sure. This versatility is something that has remained with me, as I have taken on roles in all sorts of genres from the comedic to the cruel and everywhere in between. I hope that at least this means I can never be called ‘boring’, and I never can predict what casting is coming next. It’s a rather good job that I relish a challenge, and don’t mind diving headfirst into the unknown.Skills
