About me
I am a spontaneous and playful, Northern actor based in Hull and London. I emerged in 2018 and have been working consistently to date.I love comedy and physical storytelling and have the ability to strike between high energy and internal truth. I enjoy creating ensemble based work and have a generous, attentive and kind work ethic, focussing on not just my role but on the piece as a whole. I’m always interested in being apart of accessible, playful and caring work that integrates makers and audiences from all walks of life.
I am also an Associate Artist of The Herd Theatre Company. We bring children, young people and families together in playful spaces to watch and share stories. Our work explores what it’s like to be young, the good bits and the hard bits.
Acting experience:
I've been working professionally and consistently since 2018.
As a graduate of The University of Hull Drama and Theatre Practice BA degree, I have a wide experience of different theatre forms and skills to create, stage and produce work.
I've worked in depth with young people and the community whilst as a Facilitator of Engagement and Learning at Hull Truck Theatre for 3 years.
Since going freelance in 2018, I have worked in regional theatres, children's theatre, touring theatre, for BBC Radio 4, Channel 4, corporate and Presenter roles.
Additional information:
During Lockdown I have been keeping active by performing with Middle Child Theatre Company on their 'Out Loud' platform for new writing, helping bring new scripts to life over Zoom.
The Herd Theatre Company and local arts organisations (working from "harder to reach" areas) have asked me to record 'Bedtime Story' readings for young people. This has included live activity workshops, for the local museum trust.
Continually, I perform and facilitate immersive theatre pieces for Active Training Team, who are currently providing behaviour/safety training to Britain's Wind Farm industry.
