    Shirley Valentine. Crucible Studio. Sheffield.

"With Gay .. providing a fine central performance, warm and good humoured. The laughs are extremely well timed without sounding like a standup routine and, more importantly, she fully explores the inner sadness that makes Shirley so recognisable. It's a tough challenge for an actor - and one that she conquers with enormous flair". John Highfield. Sheffield Star.

A Different Way to Die. Pentameters Theatre. Hampstead. London.

" Gay ... who plays Anna Gruber really steals the show. She terrifically captures the fear and guilt that haunts Anna as she remembers her wartime experience."

    Joel Taylor. Camden New Journal.
