BROADWAY BABY'S BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS AWARD FOR SHELLEY IN THE COMEDY 'LADIES' DAY'
Broadway Baby review:
Hayley-Marie Axe is magnificent as Shelley who she plays to the full and is a great role to showcase her comic talent and character work.
COMEDY IMPROV REVIEWS:
"improv allows ludicrous plot points and statements to develop, Axe’s explanation of the importance of socks in times of war being an amusing example."
"Amongst many of these dangerous and seedy characters, we meet the exciting "President", or body-disposal expert (Hayley-Marie Axe). Axe's stage presence was the most honed, which added something to the oh-too-cool characters she portrayed, and slipped her personae on and off effortlessly"
FILM REVIEWS:
MAY I KILL U?
-Hayley- Marie Axe may not be a household name yet, but believe me folks, it’s only going to be a matter of time until she is. Following the release of dark horror comedy, ‘May I Kill U?’
-Hayley-Marie Axe particularly as Baz’s (Kevin Bishop) long suffering policing partner Val creates an interesting character, tough on the outside but shy and smart beneath it.
-Koleczek and Axe (as a fellow cop) have terrific screen presence. As do veteran scene-stealers Barber and Leach.
-while his personal and unconventional relationship with colleague Val (Hayley-Marie Axe) provides some weirdly wonderful moments
-his relationship with his co-worker – deftly played by newcomer Hayley-Marie Axe.
SENSE AND SENSIBILITY REVIEW:
Sunderland Echo & Spark Sunderland FM reviews show. Paul Dunn Central to the story, and its themes, are the sisters Elinor and Marianne Dashwood – the former ruled by her head and the latter very much by her heart. Hayley-Marie Axe and Alyssa Burnett play these roles with skill, complementing each other nicely. Their sisterly relationship is believable, touching and at times quite moving.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest:
"Hayley-Marie Axe (Nurse Ratched) gives and understated performance and gets suitably nastier as the play goes on."
Remotegoat October 2010
Talking Heads:
"Hayley-Marie Axe's actress Leslie......Take a bow all three".
Henley Standard July 2010
