    About me

I played Myron/ Cover Joe Gillis in the hit UK Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Sunset Boulevard'. Other credits include the Beast in ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (Redditch Palace Theatre) Alex in 'Guilt' (Short Film), Clov in Samuel Beckett's 'Endgame' (Rose Theatre, Kingston), Stefan in Ciaran McConville’s play ‘Heaven in Berlin’ (Battersea Arts Centre), sloaney charmer Dorian in 'Crush' (Big Broad Productions/ UK Tour) and multi-rolled in 'The Dietrich Letters' (UK Tour) as various of Marlene Dietrich's friends and lovers through the years. Also workshopped 'Fatal Attraction' with Sir Trevor Nunn and appeared as the lead in independent film 'Confession' as a writer accused of murder.

I’ve also released my debut solo EP 'From The Heart', which won a Wilma award. Further details at www.jamesmeunier.com

    REVIEWS -

    Crush:

" James Meunier also proves his versatility throughout, not least with a marvellous appearance as a particular icon in the show’s most surreal moment: a hilarious, imaginative interlude that briefly transforms the evening into supper-club cabaret."

    (Alex Ramon, British Theatre Guide)

" Kirsty Malpass and James Meunier shine as a comic duo and Meunier in particular as Marlene Dietrich"

    (Andrew Kay, The Latest)

" High praise too for...James Meunier as Dorian, who in a weird and wonderful dream sequence becomes a dinner-suited, golden-haired Marlene Dietrich singing about Sugar Und Spice."

    (David Guest, Chichester Observer)

    Heaven in Berlin:

"James Meunier brings a spine-tingling supporting performance as the government official"

    - Natasha Fonzeka, The Upcoming

"James Meunier's genial but vicious Stasi official subtly menaces"

    - Vicky Ellis, What's Onstage

    Deathtrap:

"Clifford Anderson, a young writer aspiring to Sidney’s heady heights is played by James Meunier; and very well played it was. The fresh faced actor has an obvious hunger for his craft which translates into a great stage performance. "

    - ShowtimeRadio

    The Ghost Train:

" Teddie Deakin, a foppish young man-about-town who bounces about like an untrained Labrador (played faultlessly by James Meunier) "

    - Holly Willis, South London Press

    The Importance of Being Earnest:

"Both British gentlemen are bon vivants James Meunier and Alex Warner who brilliantly portray the two dandies Algernon and Jack."

    - Nicole Brevoord, Journal Frankfurt

    Assassins:

"Starting with John Wilkes Booth - a marvellous turn by James Meunier The part of Booth, and Meunier's performance, were so powerful that the other characters seemed rather small scale by comparison."

    - Bob Briggs, Seen and Heard International
