    Additional Information

Co-producer of female comedy sketch show, 'Standing Ovariation'. Lover of all things comedy - particularly puns.

    Of Standing Ovariation, October 2016:

"Standing Ovariation, the brainchild of writer/performers Jess Nesling and Natalie Durkin, brought together a well-curated night of sketch, monologue and song all performed and written by women. [...] The standout pieces of the night were the most original and sometimes surreal. Melody the dolphin trainer (written and performed by Larner Wallace-Taylor) was a particular highlight as were two very clever songs- London song by Amy Alexander and Addiction by Jess Nesling (both with music and accompaniment by Sarah Nesling and hysterical backup singers Natalie Durkin and Amy Alexander.)"

    - Sian Rowland, London Pub Theatres

Of Jess' performance as Queen Elizabeth and The Prince of Wales in Antic Disposition's Richard III (2017):

"All the women in this production are outstanding. [...] Jess Nesling easily straddles comedy and drama". Julia Pascal, London Grip

    About me

MA in Acting from ALRA (London)

Actress and singer, originally from Swansea now based in London.

I studied French and Drama at Royal Holloway and was lucky enough to study in Paris for my Erasmus year. I taught commercial dance at Sevres-Lecourbe Leisure Centre, was a runner for a fashion designer in central Paris, shadowed the in-house theatre troupe at Theatre Montansier and studied Theatre modules at La Sorbonne Nouvelle.

Having completed my MA at ALRA South, I've had a delightfully varied career, with work spanning commercials, music videos, theatre (open air and theatre), performing as a concert soloist in India, voicing characters, providing motion capture for characters, narrating animations and working on feature films. I even got bullied by an onion in a short film for good measure. Looking to build upon my experience and keep telling stories.
