    Additional Information

I have done some stand-up (Poets' Kitchen, Kew, 2002).

I belong to a performing poets' group in Oxford.

Also experienced in folk-singing. Sing with an improvising choir in London (Toc).

Have done a lot of impro work.

I was in a film made by Chuck East (www.campaignlive.com/news/search/20967//) (www.shots.net/browse.asp?pg=9&rpp=100&bt=2&sl=4000&alpf=C)a few years ago. I also appeared in a show written and directed by Brian Aldiss, who asked me to do some TV with him but I was unable to make the date. Have a voice CD; my voice is strong.

I am a member of the London group Player Playwrights.

Reviews for a recent show: A Younger Theatre: …for the most part we were shepherded around by house servants Mrs Leaf (Louise Larchbourne) and Victor (Mark Laughtone), who both maintained notably strong character throughout the performance and interval ….

What’s Peen Seen? : ….the equally kindly Mrs Leaf (Louise Larchbourne), … in full Victorian attire, ushered the ‘guests’ to converge into the back garden to await the evenings events. Their charming in-character ad-libs made for a wonderfully informal and low-key introduction…

Huffington Post: You can almost feel the audience's relief when stalwarts Louise Larchbourne and Mark Laughtone are on stage; between them, the pair play a variety of roles and they are the production's shining lights.

TheGayUK: An outstanding highlight for me, though, is the fantastic Louise Larchbourne, whose Mrs Leaf is thoroughly engaging, and carries just the right balance of servitude and mastery appropriate for her role. From the moment one steps through the door into Mr Gray’s salon, all through the interval and right through to the time you leave, Larchbourne remains perfectly in character, entertaining and serving guests with a respectful wit.

I have also run workshops for adults and children using masks, and was part of a team (Arts Council funded) putting on an 'eco-opera' in schools and a local village some years ago. I covered acting and script development.

    About me

I worked in theatre in my 20s, had to pause when I became a single parent. During this period I acted whenever I could, in pro-standard (roughly) or semi-pro groups. When I performed in a series of pieces written and directed by Brian Aldiss (he wrote AI etc) he asked me to do a BBC 2 spot with him - I was unable to!
