    Additional Information

I have a highly professional approach and a strong work ethic. In 2017 myself and three colleagues formed Root & Branch productions. We are a theatre company bringing new or rarely performed work to a diverse audience, also with a focus on promoting roles for older women. We performed an award nominated play at Manchester fringe in 2017 and brought a new play there in 2018. This play was awarded best new writing. Since then Root and Branch Productions have gained a reputation for excellence, working with American playwright Cody Daigel-Orians we have produced two of his plays, adapting them for a UK audience.

    About me

In my career I have been cast in strong female roles, sometimes with a distinct upper class accent, sometimes as the salt of the earth northern type. I do consider myself versatile with roles and accents. I attended a weekly workshop with the internationally renowned playwright Jim Cartwright. I have acted since school days. I applied and was accepted by drama school at aged 18, but was persuaded by parents to have a career first. I joined the civil service and used my acting and interpersonal skills to good effect both as a trainer and a motivational facilitator. After taking retirement from the civil service I decided to put an acting career front and central to my life. I have taken a number of courses with Daniel Bradford, a well-known and respected acting coach based in Manchester. I have also studied Meisner at introductory level. I have undertaken roles on stage in films and also interactive site specific events. I enjoy improvisation roles and undertake roles in Murder Mystery events for a national company at sites all over the North of England. During the pandemic I have performed a number on monologues for Simon O'Corra's Lock down monologues group.
