Highlights
-
Mark Wisdom is a British actor who first found success playing Billy in a prominent stage production of Little Voice. His transition to screen came when emerging writer/director, Michael Walker, noticed his potential and offered him the role of 'Sol' in the short film, Through Emerald Eyes (2017). It is here where Mark met Alastair Railton who would later offer him a role in Between the Divide (2017). His portrayal of the character 'Nameless' has since received critical praise. In 2018, Mark showcased his action credentials in another Railton film entitled, Voice of Belief, and he later took on the role of co-director for the powerful short film, God's Broken Things. Mark also returned to the stage in a steam-punk re-imagining of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, where he played the hapless romantic, Lysander. Additionally, he performed in Santa's Marvellous Magical Toyshop, a children's theatre production which toured the UK during the festive season. Mark is looking forward to 2019, as he intends to expand his portfolio by portraying many more interesting characters.
Mark was born in Mansfield, UK, to pub/restaurant owners, Kim and Clive Wisdom. This, Mark believes, is the reason for his love of "characters", as he recognizes these establishments as his main source for building character backstories. Mark attended the University of Lincoln and studied Advertising and Marketing. His hobbies include writing, tabletop war-gaming, yoga and exercise.
